Please join us for one of the scheduled meetings list below. There will also be a live streamed meeting for all Special Services faculty and staff on Thursday, August 20th at 2:00pm. Dear Members,
The BTA realizes that many have reached out with questions and concerns and we are doing our best to address them, but we too are seeking clarity and guidance. Please continue to check bocesta.net and your emails daily for scheduled program and community meetings. We are also in the process of planning a MEMBERS ONLY meeting and will offer an opportunity to submit questions ahead of time. We are asking that all questions be directed to your program supervisor first and when submitting questions to the BTA, please include your program and any response that may have been provided. Again, we will do our best to provide any information available. Meeting details to follow. We do want to bring the following to your attention: There is a travel advisory for the following locations and it is expected that one quarantines for 14 days. https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory Based upon Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 205, issued June 25, 2020, the following states and territories meet the criteria for required quarantine:
This is based upon a seven day rolling average, of positive tests in excess of 10%, or number of positive cases exceeding 10 per 100,000 residents. Members received an email requesting volunteers to do temperature checks with proper PPE provided. The intention is to have accurate and immediate data to better protect our students and staff members, but we understand the concern it has caused and will further address it. Please continue to check your emails. If you have not yet done so, I urge you to review the SWBOCES reopening plan found at https://www.swboces.org/reopening (click in image to view or download) as it may provide answers to questions. On Friday additional documents were added to the swboces reopening plan: Remote learning, Testing, Contact tracing. Please review the following info for assistance: Letter dated July 31, 2020 from Jackie: "After reviewing the reopening guidance, please be mindful that there are supports in place for eligible employees under special circumstances. Finally, the term of our Grievance Chairperson, Monica Johnson, has ended and Keith Mattos, who also serves as ALC 2nd Vice President, has been appointed to serve in the position until elections, which have been scheduled for this fall. We thank Monica for her service and Kieth for his willingness to take on this additional role. Again, we appreciate your patience during this difficult time. Sincerely, Melissa |
