Cruz at [email protected] At a time when heroes are emerging from every walk of life, it's important to remember the heroes who are there for us every single day. This week is Teacher Appreciation Week, a time to celebrate the amazing teachers who educate our children, nurture our communities, and make all our lives better! Over the past several weeks, it has become clearer than ever before how valuable and special teachers are to our lives, to our families, and to our communities. Teachers have heroically adapted to a whole new way of teaching in the face of uncertainty. Teachers have given students a sense of normalcy and routine to help them navigate these extraordinarily difficult times. And teachers have even put their lives and health at risk by going the extra mile to deliver their students the learning materials they need, to help keep them fed, and to volunteer when their communities have needed them. Every year, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week to acknowledge the commitment and contributions of our dedicated and caring teachers. But this year it means even more. Take action now to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week by sharing our poster on social media! On behalf of NYSUT, I want to say THANK YOU to all the teachers across the state for your passion, your dedication, and for making New York better every single day! We appreciate you. In solidarity, Andrew Pallotta NYSUT President P.S. Share our poster today, and ask everyone you know to do the same! |
