NYSUT Pre-Retirement Workshop

PRE-RETIREMENT WORKSHOP

Are you retiring in 2024?  If so, you have questions.  This workshop is designed ONLY if you are retiring in 2024 from a local in Westchester or Putnam county.  Both TRS and ERS members are invited...all school employees who are NYSUT members.  At the workshop, snacks and supper will be provided.


You will hear from Ron Gross (NYSUT’s 2nd Vice President), David Keefe (President of the NYS Teachers’ Retirement System), a NYSUT endrosed Elder Law Attorney, Marty Sommer (NYSUT Political Action Coordinator), Veronica O'Connor (RC 15-16 President) and Lynn O'Donnell (Retiree Services Consultant).  You will also learn about NYSUT retiree benefits and opportunities for activities in retirement.  You will receive numerous resources that will help you to plan both before and after retirement.  To get started, visit the link here to access:

**This workshop will NOT take the place of your local’s pre-retirement advice to you concerning retiree health insurance and fund benefits which are local-specific.**


If you will attend, please fill out the form below and return it to me with a check for $40 (or for $70 if your significatn other will attend with you).  Make your check payable to: NYSUT Retirees WEST-PUT and mail it to me by April 1st.  Your check will be held until April 8 and then it will be deposited.  Since the food will be ordered by then, there will be no refunds after April 8.
